hey all we are alive and well here in europe, the quickest snippet filled rundown of events i can spill out are:

stayed up till 5am making tour covers, got to an airport early for once, then watched a kind of bunk movie (leap years) fell asleep for what was most likely a decent a movie (crazy heart) picked at what the airline considered a vegitarian meal, landed in copehagen, worried about customs but got waved through, our tour manger met us at the airport with a nice sign for us, van b got his own personal escort, went to malmo, went to a carnival where i learned i am terrible at bumper cars much to everyones amusment, played an amazing show for a lot of energic kids, had an amazing women do sound for us who made us sound better than ever, went to a swedish karaoke bar, got lost on the way back to where we were sleeping, woke up a couple hours later, drove to berlin, our man sebastian brought us our new tour shirts as well as the connections lp, all look amazing (thanks jens), went to adagio, store is amazing you should all book a trip just for that alone, went and saw what was left of the berlin wall, almost got hit by a car, went to the venue played another great show, eric and i learned german pizza is actually pretty decent, learned that a drunk van b likes bon jovi, sober van b does not, aaron speaks an awesome fluent german, sort of, woke up early drove to prague the city is fucking bannas in its beauty played to another packed room, finally got the euro tour edition of the lp, almost out of those so if you want one come to munich tomm. now we are sleeping in a very nice cozy prague home.

so we leave in a few days for tour, i am excited, nervous, exhausted, and a whole lot of other emotions about the whole thing, but one thing i know is these shows will be amazing, we have some cool things planned for everyone coming out. one of which is an exclusive tour only 7″ that will only be available at these shows, so if you want one, or are a tsl completist, or just want to collect everything in the cover your heart series, you should come out to one of these shows, and if you can’t come get in touch with someone who can and have them pick up one up for you. its good stuff, it is from the session we did with jason from on the might of princes/the brass a few months ago, and i am stoked on it. we also have a couple new shirt designs as well. so come out. and yes we will play that, and that one, but sorry we won’t be playing that one.

our split with pianos is still of course coming. there are always delays, this record will be worth it, with the etchings and music on both sides, as well as it being a 9″ it has caused a few delays to make sure it will be done right, so soon. and by soon i mean july.

also this person rules fucking hard.

and if you can’t come to see us on our tour because you live in the states, do us a solid and go see pianos become the teeth on their tour, tell them we sent you and remind them how fucking good they are.

so many updates, so now i will take the time to fill you all in, first: even though it has been announced already i slept on putting the info here, but we are going to be doing a brief tour of europe next month, ending with a closing slot on the legendary cry me a river fest!! and we are fucking stoked, seriously this is something we have wanted to do for a long time. most of the tour will be with the swedish band “if footmen tire you, what will horses do?”, also our friends in pesanteur will make an appearance on some of the dates, if you would like to help in anyway please get in touch, or write to our man joakim who is booking it: cvrsxxxd@gmail.com , thanks. here are the dates:

we will also be playing a pre tour u.s show with pianos become the teeth, and you know how much we love those dudes so it is going to rule hard, we are hoping the show will also be our record release show for our split 9″ with them, that is if the pressing plant plays nice, so fingers crossed,

speaking of the 9″ we still have a few copies left, and just say no still has a few of the glow in the dark sets left as well so please order it and help us out, they were very expensive to make but will look killer, there are etchings and music on both sides, we went all out on this one.

we have been busy practicing for tour, tightening up some new songs, as well as relearning some old songs we haven’t played in awhile, we will be ready. i have also been working hard getting a bunch of new merch ready for tour, you know we love the limited tour goods.

our new lp is done, recorded and mastered, we hope to be able to make release announcements soon, as for now though we must remain quiet.

and touche amore fucking rules, i saw them again last weekend and was once again blown away by them, easily one of the best bands out there playing, do yourself a favor go see them, buy their record, thank them for making the music they make.

and finally send me your red house painters vinyl, any of the first 4 records will be fine, no shit ill go broke if i keep watching these auctions.

the preorders for our split 9″ with pianos is now up, head over to the store, tslhbog.bigcartel.com and order away, in addition to those i put up a bunch of distro items we have, a bunch of tapes (now available individually) a bunch of cds, and a few odds and ends, also there are only 2 sets left of the 7″/6″/mix cd pack left if you want that, and we only have 3 left of the saddest landscape deluxe tote bag/record release show set, so order those on up. all of this helps with our touring costs and we appreciate it.

in other news, our new LP is all  recorded/mixed/mastered, we are fucking stoked as shit about it, i can’t wait for all of you to hear it, expect more announcements about this very soon.

we are very pleased, and excited to announce that we will be doing a split etched 9″ with our friends pianos become the teeth. the record will be coming out this spring on just say no records. the cover art is above. and while we are talking about pianos, lets just get this out of the way, the sooner the world accepts that “old pride” is an undisputed masterpiece, one in which all other records shall be judged the better off we will all be.

seriously they fucking rule. there is now a hole in the scene.

jason from the brass stopped by to instigate some sweet guitar lines, and we thank him.

spent lots of time in an isolation booth, use your imagination, either way recording sounds great, we are stoked on recording our full length, starting april 3rd. we will no doubt be assaulting our twitter account when we do, so if that is your thing prepare to get excited.

we will be going into the studio once again with the talented steve roche this weekend, we are recording 3 songs for a couple comps that should be out this spring, one of them being the “connections” six way split LP that momemt of collapse is doing, very excited about that, and the other is a comp we will announce soon.

in other news, anyone out there going to sxsw this year? well if you want to trade for older tsl/hbog test presses, get in touch, many of you don’t know im into collecting white stripes records and they are having a third man pop up store with white stripes shit being pressed as 13″ / 8″ so the deal is you buy some of those at their regular price and i will trade you test presses, or pay you back, up to you, please help!

so we sold out of all the preorder donation sets in about two days, i can not  express how thankful we are to those of you ordered (and those who wish they could have) it means a lot to us. for the rest of you there will be a regular preorder eventually, most likely in april, thank you.

i also found an old screen from the saddest landscape “lift your burdens..” lp and made a very limited run of shirts and tote bags that i put up in the store, so if you want to relive some tsl classic you may have missed out on now is your chance.
