• you will not survive LP/CD

we finally got around to doing another full length, i think someone said this record is like falling in love and getting kicked in the balls all at the same time and loving every second, or maybe it was it will remove the enamel from your teeth, either way we are proud of it.

first press was self released on cover your heart all copies were on silver/grey vinyl and had gatefold covers with a bonus CD version of the album.

second press, or the panic records press, comes on black vinyl (200 copies) white vinyl (300) clear vinyl (300) . and instead of the CD version it has a digital download.

  • split 9″ w/ pianos become the teeth

this one was a long time coming, with a long drawn out pressing process involving shady pressing plants and much frustration, but that is not important anymore because the record fucking rules. Just say no! put this out, there were 500 pressed on black vinyl. 107 copies on glow in the dark. both variants have an etched B side. come with full color fold over inserts. there were 35 test press sets, which were double 12″s, and came with unique covers to the people who ordered them, and most orders came with a huge poster as well.

  • split tour 7″ w/ if footmen tire you what will horses do.

for our summer 2010 european tour we decided to do a split 7″ with our tourmates in footmen, we do a cover of dinosaur jr.’s “raisans” (fuck yes there is a guitar solo, yes it will shred your face, no i did not get the guy from dragonforce to play on it, yes i wish i did), and on the flip you get fucking rick lightning!!!! (oh yeah david and andreas are there too, but the lightning!!), limited to 250 copies, all on turquoise vinyl, hand #d, stamped, assembled.

  • connections volume II comp LP

released by moment of collapse records, this comp LP features 2 new songs by us, both feature jason rosenthal of on the might of princes/the brass on second guitar, and the reworking of “the temptation that is you” also has melissa woods on cello. the record is limited to 515 copies on solid minty fresh green vinyl, and comes with a poster insert complete with essays by all the bands.

  • split 7″ w/ trophy scars

the saddest landscape / trophy scars split, this is a release we had talked about doing for awhile, kind of always hanging in the backs of our minds as we have been friends since both bands inceptions, so after a few years it all just lined up.

bear records put this out, first press is 500 copies on clear/black split vinyl.

  • all is apologized for. all is forgiven. double LP/CD+bonus 7″

the saddest landscape discography, this release includes everything have done up until we started playing again in 2008, so at this point that is everything except the trophy scars split. the cd version came out on slave union first,it was packaged in a nice double gatefold cover with a thick color booklet full of photos, discography info and lyrics. the cd version is also enhanced with a couple live videos. this was then followed by the vinyl version a couple years later on our own cover your heart records, as well as coptercrash. there seems to be some confusion with the pressing #s on this record so let me break it down for all of you: 200 sets on red/red white swirled vinyl, 200 sets on clear/blue white swirled vinyl, 300 sets on 180g black vinyl, 100 sets on random mixed vinyl (tended to be yellow/green/grey) that were only available as part of the limited record release show version. and all the rest are on standard weight black vinyl.  all the records have a beautiful gatefold cover, with a detailed poster insert as well as a download card of the songs.

the copies of the vinyl version that were available only direct from the band also came with a bonus 7″ of 2 new recordings, one new song and cover of modern life is war. there were 500 of these pressed, the pressing plant gave us a deal where if they could use whatever scraps of colored vinyl they had left they would charge us less than standard black vinyl, this means every record is unique, so there are many different shades of vinyl.

  • a promise was made 10″

this was put out by alone records, songs recorded just  before our long absence. 500 pressed, 100 on pink vinyl, the rest on black. the pink ones also came with a special paper flower lined insert.

.

  • lift your burdens high for this is where we cross  LP/CD

lift your burdens… was originally a 10″ that narshadaa put out for our first european tour we did with the pine, there were 500 of those and they went out of print fairly quickly. so shortly after that we talked to alone records about putting out stateside coupled with the out of print “cover your heart” 7″ as a way to make all the songs readily available again. the cd version was packaged in a recycled cardboard gatefold cover, which was letter pressed, all copies come with a hand stamped insert.

the vinyl version was a split release between alone and coptercrash. all the covers are silkscreened with the single tree design on chipboard covers. there were 100 copies on coke bottle clear  vinyl, with 30 of them having hand painted leaves on the trees. there were also 500 copies on blue vinyl.

.

  • the sound of the spectacle LP/CD

our first full length. this first came out on coptercrash records, all of the cds came with a thick booklet with art for each song and extra writing not in the vinyl version. the coptercrash pressing of the vinyl was all on black, with black/white inserts. there were 60 lps with hand painted covers with a tour insert that we did for our first cross country tour, along with 60 cds packaged in a similar fashion all tied shut with twine. there is also a european pressing of the lp that narshadaa did, as of now there were 100 on white, 400 on dark smoke grey vinyl, 100 on yellow, and 100 on blue and all the rest on black vinyl. the euro edition also has an extra song not on the u.s version, as well as a full color insert.

  • cover your heart 7″

the first 7″, there are a lot of people who still put this as their favorite release of ours, citing “the sixth golden ticket” as a high water mark. this came out on coptercrash records, there were 500 pressed, 400 on clear vinyl, 100 on red.

.

.

  • split 7″ w/ funeral diner

this came out as part of the fire walk with me tribute series they were doing of the entire rites of spring discography, i really wish they finished this series there were a lot of great bands planned for it, 780 copies pressed, all on black vinyl.
.

.

  • split w/ the pine 7″/CD

the pine split 7″, this came out on alone records, shortly before our european tour with them. there were 500 pressed, all on black vinyl.

there were also 50 cds that the pine had made for tour, all were #d and had hand sewn fabric covers.

.

  • cover your heart demo CD

so here you have it our demo, this is the first release we had, all of the songs were remastered to appear on the “cover your heart” 7″, but they started here, there were 127 copies, all had hand sewn hearts on the covers (except for one stapled cover), and have a zine/booklet with each band member contributing pages along with lyrics etc.

.

  • so much for letting go  CD

coptercrash put this compilation out, a whole bunch of bands doing jawbreaker covers, we did “accident prone”, not sure how many were pressed.

I don't want to be annoying. But I cannot express how your songs have touched me. Your voice, the music, the hurt inside the lyrics. I discovered The Saddest Landscape during one of the most heartbreaking periods in mmy life and all I'd do is listen to your music and read the lyrics and just cry alll night.
